The Client, a leading business in Spain in the manufacturing, export and maintenance of rolling stock was the winning bidder, together with a consortium of Spanish businesses, of a high speed project in Saudi Arabia, which dealt with the largest infrastructure project that has been undertaken in history for a Spanish consortium outside of our borders.
For the proper achievement of the project, the Client needed and needs advice in the formation of a consortium of businesses and in the organisation of a legal structure that enables the development and financing of the project for all of the business involved.
The Office advised the Client in the negotiations and execution of firstly, a consortium agreement, and then the creation of a company vehicle and the signing of a share-holder deal afterwards with all the companies that participated in the project.
The project was greatly complex from the start, both in relation to the volume of the operation as well as in relation to the quantity of both the public and private entities involved.
The operation has allowed the Client to intensify its international expansion, consolidating one of its more emblematic products (that is, High Speed) in the international market, as well as considerably expanding its billing in the long term.
The project has a global volume of 6,000,000,000 Euros and is at the height of development.
