ONTIER receives the award “Compromiso Asturias”

This distinction recognises companies and institutions that work to promote the progress and development of this community.

Pedro Rodero, ONTIER Spain managing partner, and Eutimio Martínez Suárez, managing partner at the ONTIER office in Oviedo, received the award on Friday. 'Compromiso Asturias' is a distinction awarded to those companies and organizations that work to promote community development.

Compromiso Asturias XXI is a civil initiative and a non-profit organisation that focuses its efforts in four pillars: the interanationalisation of Asturian companies, the training and education of young people, the organization of seminars and cultural events and the development of  working documents through its think tank.  'The goal of 'Compromiso Asturias' is to improve the levels of welfare in Asturias,' said its president, Carlos Garcia-Mauriño. 

ONTIER cooperates closely with this project because its strongs bonds with Asturias. 'ONTIER is a global firm but, because of our origins, we have a strong relationship with Asturias. We have invested heavily in the region and have consolidated our presence there  trying to contribute to its development beyond our business, 'said Pedro Rodero.

The event, that took place at the ONTIER office in Madrid, gave ONTIER and Compromiso Asturias the chance to discuss the goals for next year. Promoting the organisation of cultural and business seminars at ONTIER new offices in Oviedo and promoting education programs among young Asturian studens are the main items in the agenda for 2016.
