Berta Aguinaga completed a Degree in Law and a Diploma in Business Studies at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), a Master’s Degree in Criminal Procedural Law and Criminal Law at School of Legal Practice from Universidad Complutense of Madrid in 2005 and in Penitentiary Law at the Bar Association of Madrid in 2009.
Berta joined ONTIER as a Partner of the Corporate Crime Department in 2015, after having developed her professional career in Garrigues (2003-2013) and in CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo (2014-2015).
Expert in Corporate Crimes and Criminal Litigation. Specially, in Offences against Honour, Offences against Privacy, against Property and Social-Economic Order, Offences against Intellectual and Industrial Property, the market and consumers, Offences against the Exchequer and the Social Security, Money Laundering, Offences against rights of workers, Forgery, against Public Administration and Judicial Power, Offences against Public Health and against Traffic Safety. With broad forensic and judicial expertise before Courts and Tribunals, Berta has intervened in publicly known criminal proceedings.
Berta is also specialized in the design, implementation and development of Compliance Programs.
Throughout her career, she has lectured at seminars on criminal matters, including criminal liability of legal persons.
