Maria Luisa has a Law Degree, at Universidad Autónoma, Madrid. Master in Corporate Law, Instituto de Empresa (IE), Madrid. Master in Stock Market and Credit Institutions, Asociación para el Progreso de la Dirección (APD), Madrid.
María Luisa forms part of ONTIER since 2022 as counsel for the area of Restructuring, Insolvency & Special Situations, prior to this she has developed her career at Tortosa y Asociados and Uría Menéndez.
Her professional activity is mainly focused on commercial and insolvency law. Specialist in the legal supervision of insolvency proceedings, she has also acted as insolvency receiver and defending creditors’ interests. She has participated in many insolvency proceedings, including some of the most relevant in Spain.
She speaks at conferences on her specialty at the Madrid Bar Association and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is also the author of articles on commercial law: “International Acquisition Finance. Law and Practice”. Gwendoline Griffiths (Editor).
